Lauderdale County Board of Education Bids 6th, 7th, 8th, Math.5-15-19
The Lauderdale County Department of Education, 321 Armory Ave., P.O. Box 350, Ripley, TN 38063, is accepting bids for grades 6-8 Math curriculum for the 2019-20 school year consisting of:
6th, 7th, and 8th grade math full curriculum that focuses on Tennessee State Standards through a balance of conceptual understanding, procedural skills, fluency, and application. The curriculum should support rich classroom environment in which mathematical reasoning, mathematical discourse, and a range of mathematical practices.
The rigorous curriculum must include:
· real-world problem solving that develops deep conceptual understanding,
· multiple representations to make connections and show conceptual meaning and procedural fluency
· connects new learning to prior learning, demonstrates multiple approaches while providing multiple access points to learning
· uses critical thinking and complex reasoning that focuses on higher DOK levels.
The curriculum must offer teacher support through professional development (minimum of one day), embedded on-going PD and technical support. Teacher and student editions must be available in digital and hard copy.
Students must be provided instructional copies, practice copies and assessment copies. Students must also be provided seats on an online platform that provides adaptive diagnostics with interactive lessons to support a personalized online instruction plan. Quantities for student needs are 315 students in 6thgrade, 325 students in 7th grade and 350 students in 8th grade.
Sealed bids will be opened and reviewed at the Department on May 30 at 2:30 p.m.
