Lauderdale County Board of Education-Water Quality Report.5-15-19

Public Notice-School Water Testing

The Tennessee legislature recently passed a new law mandating that all school districts test their water for lead contamination once every two years. In accordance with T.C.A. 49-2-133 and Board Policy 3.212, all drinking water sources in each of the district’s schools have been professionally analyzed. Of the approximately 200 samples collected during April, all locations within Lauderdale County Schools were below the 15 parts per billion (the maximum contamination limit) and deemed safe for human consumption.
