Accepting Applications
The Lauderdale County 911 Communications District will be accepting applications from individuals interested in part-time work as a 911 Dispatcher, starting Monday, June 3rd, at 7:00 a.m., and must be turned in no later than 3 p.m. on June 28th. Applications can be picked up at 132 Dodge Drive, Ripley, TN, Monday – Friday.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Must pass pretest
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass a criminal history background, drug test
Duties of the job:
Operate a multi-line telephone console system, answer 911 calls and non-emergency calls. Monitor and operate a radio console and computer equipment, Determine and assign the level of priority of the call and enter the data into a computer-aided dispatch system for radio dispatch purposes & navigating mapping.
