Plantiff, NewRez LLC d/b/a Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing, has filed a motion for an order allowing service of process upon the defendant, Universal Mortgage Corporation. Plantiff has demonstrated by notice upon return of service that said defendant cannot, upon diligent inquiry, be located to allow for personal service of process of its summons and complaint.
It is, therefore, ordered that the Clerk of this Court shall:
1. Forthwith cause a copy of this Order to be published for four (4) consecutive weeks in The Lauderdale Voice, a newspaper of general circulation in this county.
2. The purpose of this Order is to adequately give constructive service to the defendant, Universal Mortgage Corporation, of a Complaint filed in Chancery Court of Lauderdale County, Tennessee, on October 3, 2019, Docket No. 15956.
3. The copy of the Order that is published shall further notify defendant, Universal Mortgage Corporation, that he or she must answer or otherwise respond to the Complaint in this action within thirty (30) days of the fourth week of publication of this Order, and if he or she does not answer or otherwise respond, a default judgement may be entered against said defendant.
