Applications
The Lauderdale County Emergency District is accepting applications for 911 Dispatcher. Applications can be picked up at 132 Dodge Dr., Ripley, TN 38063.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to work nights, weekends,
and holidays
• Must pass a criminal history background
• Must be able to pass drug test
Duties of the job:
• Operate a multi-line telephone console
system
• Answer 911 calls and non-emergency
calls
• Monitor and operate a radio console and
computer equipment
• Determine and assign the level of
priority of the calls
• Enter the data into Computer Aided
Dispatch (CAD) system for radio
dispatch purposes and
navigating mapping
• Following policy and procedures for
dispatching response units
• Applicants must be able to multi-task
