Beginning at a stake in the north margin of a city concrete sidewalk, the same being R.H. Kirby’s southeast corner, runs thence East with said sidewalk 138 feet to a stake, the same being L.E. Crihfield’s southwest corner; runs thence North with said Crihfield’s west line 317 feet to a stake in C.T.             The Real Property or its address is commonly known as 322 East Main Street, Halls, Tennessee.  The address is not a part of the legal description and, in the event of a discrepancy, the legal description herein shall control.  

            Subject to any easements, liens, restrictions or other matters of record prior to said Deed of Trust, and any unpaid City of Halls or Lauderdale County, Tennessee real estate taxes or assessments.

Public Notice-Accepting Bids

The Lauderdale County Department of Education, 321 Armory Ave., P.O. Box 350, Ripley, TN 38063, is accepting bids for grades 6-8 Math curriculum for the 2019-20 school year consisting of:

6th, 7th, and 8th grade math full curriculum that focuses on Tennessee State Standards through a balance of conceptual understanding, procedural skills, fluency, and application. The curriculum should support rich classroom environment in which mathematical reasoning, mathematical discourse, and a range of mathematical practices.

The rigorous curriculum must include:
•. real-world problem solving that develops deep conceptual understanding,
• multiple representations to make connections and show conceptual meaning and procedural fluency
• connects new learning to prior learning, demonstrates multiple approaches while providing multiple access points to learning
• uses critical thinking and complex reasoning that focuses on higher DOK levels.

The curriculum must offer teacher support through professional development (minimum of one day), embedded on-going PD and technical support. Teacher and student editions must be available in digital and hard copy.
Students must be provided instructional copies, practice copies and assessment copies. Students must also be provided seats on an online platform that provides adaptive diagnostics with interactive lessons to support a personalized online instruction plan. Quantities for student needs are 315 students in 6thgrade, 325 students in 7th grade and 350 students in 8th grade.

6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA full curriculum that focuses on reoccurring central topics for building background knowledge, vocabulary, and writing skills using literature, informational text and art of highest quality. Curriculum must be taught through multiple authentic text that support learning Tennessee grade-level reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary.

The curriculum must be module-based with multiple supporting/related texts reinforcing practice for students in reading, writing, speaking, listening and language. Teacher editions must be provided in paper and digital copies. All strands of the standards are integrated throughout each module with:
• Instructional Routines
• Text-Dependent Questions
• Explicit Writing Instruction
• Text-based Vocabulary
• Formative Assessments

Each module within the grade-level must provide 4 to 8 authentic text for the 315 students in 6th grade, 325 students in 7th grade and 350 students in 8th grade. Student handouts and assessments must be included for the same quantities of students per grade.
One day of professional development must be included along with on-going technical support for administrators and teachers.
